Here below we present to you the configuration of our I/O module from the Selio range within the machine.
Selio 24 is connected to:
- a range of operating valves
- a series of pumps for chemicals detergents
- a cooling fan
- an inverter
- a door lock mechanism
And it also provides a series of inputs that allows the track and monitor important values for the washing process, such as:
- water temperature
- water level
A few words from the Customer’s Engineering Team:
Selio enables us to monitor and control various aspects of the washing process with precision. For example, we use the I/O module to control the flow of water into and out of the machine, ensuring that the right amount of water is used for each wash cycle. We also use it to control the temperature of the water in real-time during operations. This is important because different types of fabrics and materials require different temperatures for effective cleaning. With the temperature sensor, we can ensure that the water is at the optimal temperature for each wash cycle, resulting in better cleaning performance and reduced energy costs.
Who controls the I/O module?
This particular Customer uses a graphic Central Process Unit that is especially designed and developped for industrial washing equipment. It’s called Hera Laundry Smart and you can check it out here.
In other similar applications, some Customers use a standard commercial PLC from Omron and Siemens.
Basically, any programable logic device can be used since the Selio I/O modules range is equipped with Modbus RTU, which is a standard communication protocol widely used in industrial applications.
The Customer’s feedback in their own words
Overall, we’re very happy with the efficiency of our Selio I/O module connected to our washing machines. It allows us to manage the washing process from start to finish with greater control and precision, resulting in better cleaning performance, reduced energy costs, and improved water usage. As a plus, it’s easy to install and connect to the many parts in our equipment.
As for us, we’re proud of the technology we’ve developed and will continue to innovate to ensure that our customers have access to the best possible I/O modules for their automation needs.
